honestly, the ideas in this movie are fun and interesting, but the pacing is abysmal. it goes too fast without taking any time to sit on plot points or develop characters, then the less interesting action scenes are really stretched out (especially at the end in the snow area). arthur’s floating hotel is fun but it feels like it gets less screen time than eames just shooting at dudes. the snow area could’ve been a lot more interesting for a dream three levels deep imo
also mal is like the most toxic partner lol that relationship needs therapy

a few weeks ago, our current president assassinated an iranian general, with certain political (fascist) commentators defending it, claiming it's a "deterrence strategy." it reminded me of this movie. upon rewatching, a few more things came to mind. spoiling the entire movie.
