Alien: Romulus 2024
This is my first time watching an Alien film. With that being said, I will have a pretty surface level idea on how good this film is. Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson were absolutely incredible, the set design, sounds and the environment created was gorgeous and intense. The third act felt so…. odd. Clearly setting stuff up for an entire film franchise, and taking away the key thing of the Alien franchise. MU/TH/UR felt like a cheap tvshow-esque antagonist, which you can also tell by Rook’s unfortunate CGI… they should’ve just used practical effects for most of him.

I don’t think a murder mystery can ever be done right, and sadly MaXXXine is no exception.
The visuals, homeage to the 80s films were perfection. It was sleezy and violent, but storywise it took too much from the infamously poorly written 80s flicks.
It’s the least of the trilogy, but it’s not an awful movie.
To be fair, the predecessors were so gorgeously made it created high high standards for this third and final film.Translated from by
