Finally rating this one, even though I haven’t watched it again yet.
I think I had a tough time rating this one because I’ve given movies 5 stars for a lot less, but like, this is it. This is cinema. This is how movies are meant to be made. This is how stories are meant to be told. It worked. In every way, it worked. I walked away from this one feeling like “that’s a movie” in the most complimentary way possible. The effort across the board is so clear. So well written, so well told, so well acted. It did it. A+.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
Big and deep yet small and simple at the same time. It does a really impressive job of capturing the convoluted nuances of the trans experience without making a show of it. It’s quiet until it isn’t, which I feel deeply.
