    Captain America: Brave New World

A decent return back to form. The MCU goes back to its roots with a dense political espionage mystery science-fiction action flick in which all aspects are well balanced out for all ages, but it never really searches for depth. Harrison Ford steals the show in a movie that feels like a sequel to the Incredible Hulk rather than Captain America.

Nowadays, people just like to complain and are held hostage by nostalgia for the older movies. But let's be real: they were not so different compared to what we got here.

    Mufasa: The Lion King

    ★★★

While the original film was more grounded with a focus on the difficult task to shape an entire animal world in fully realistic CGI, this prequel playfully introduces different story structures, environments, music genres and creative cinematography and editing.

Still being a classic Odyssee story, the overall choices are commercially safe making the film decent, but nothing about it is truly groundbreaking or daring.

A classic version of a typical rom-com: no unique twists or groundbreaking jokes, but Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell elevate the genre with their amazing chemistry to a perfect execution. Don’t change a winning genre: it fully depends on the cast. I also have a new celebrity crush now.

    The Garfield Movie

    ★★

Uninspired and unoriginal plot that is completely wasting all the great characters this movie has. Writes off parents abandoning their children at a young age for comic relief, which is of course the smartest choice you could make for a kids movie. Also the jokes are not joking. If you swap Garfield with a minion, you wouldn't have felt a difference.

The most outstanding is the visual style of the characters and their expressiveness, but unfortunately there was not much to genuinely express during this film.
