Gripping. Helluva pace. From the moment the story breaks, it's an exhilarating watch as all events unfold. As a 90s kid, was not familiar with the entire story. Love dramatized nonfiction retellings of history.

I am a fan of musicals. I am a fan of progressive storytelling. I am not a fan of both at the same time apparently.
If this movie was simply a transgender thriller, I think I am fully in. Plot alone, I would watch again.
That said, we have songs. Exceptionally wild and vivid songs. Songs about vaginoplasty and penoplasty. Zoe says, "Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes." We all beg, "No. No. No. No."
Oh and I hated the ending.
