Overall I enjoyed. Bill Murray did a great job of enacting the playboy character. It was funny and lighthearted. There were some times when the jokes were slightly misogynistic which was addressed in the end when Laura calls her dad out and has the conversation with her husband. It was a part of Felix’s character but I think it could’ve been better addressed. It almost just seemed a little too accepted.

The stagnation of this film is perfect. There is no huge climax but it isn’t boring. Its how life is and feels... like your just slowly going up and sometimes going backwards. There is comfort in watching that happen to someone else on a screen and knowing that most people don’t have their life mapped out even if they say they do. That you can still be happy without steadily progressing, that where you struggle in some aspects in your life you can find purpose in other places. The character development of Frances was great and the overall aesthetic of the film was very nice.
