Conclave 2024
Oh my God! I’m always a sucker for the drama, decadence and mystery of the Catholic Church. It’s all so camp and elaborate, yet so serious. Some great unexpected moments that really shocked me amongst all of the tense conversations and political scheming. The girls get messy and I loved it. Filmed beautifully. Great suspenseful soundtrack. I love the way that the film takes place entirely within the confines of the conclave and we don’t really know what’s going on outside. Stanley Tucci, the man that you are. Ralph Fiennes, you can do no wrong.

Call me Natalie Imbruglia because I am Torn. This film was beautifully shot, sexy and rich, raw, intense yet sometimes so subtle, quiet and intimate. And yet at times I could feel my attention slipping away (especially once the parents arrived) and I feel like I was just waiting for something more. Although admittedly the end was pretty heartbreaking – so much said without a word.

The Substance 2024
I think when I first watched this a few months back it was so unexpected and wild that I was in shock. Thinking back I actually really enjoyed so much of it. It was so unlike anything I’ve seen before so it was a lot to process. It’s a great film and I need to make time to give it another go. Watch this space.
