Been wanting to watch this one ever since Charlie Day impersonated Frank Serpico on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Strange reason, but glad I finally got around to it.
Top, top crime thriller.
I also think Al Pacino playing a no-nonsense, obsessive, by-the-book detective with an atrocious home life might be a genre all its own. What I would pay to see Vincent Hanna (Heat) and Frank Serpico meet lol.
Really dig Pacino in this one though, no one else could have done what he did.

A unique entry among the Pixar greats. Ahead of its time visually. It was fun to rewatch— probably for the first time since I was a kid.
It’s so fun to see an animated film use live-action characteristics—from the camera work to the lighting and other creative touches. So cool to see.
