Two minutes in and I realized Ross was a recast (RIP William Hurt and the mustache)
Love you Bucky but why are you running for Congress?? :(
Big-brained bad guy is not so big-brained after all
TGFLT (thank god for Liv Tyler)

This movie is great at taking a police interrogation and stretching it out to fit the film’s runtime. It’s effective in building tension and you see Gene Hackman slowly transition from swarmy attorney to possible sicko, but then the reveal at the end takes all of that amazing work and just shits on it?? Truly a fumble in the last 10 minutes

Spooky as hell. Gave me the willies. But absolutely breathtaking and beautiful cinematography. Everyone was absolutely acting their ass off.
Say what you will about Count Orlock, but at least he was a vampire who believed in consent. My one complaint is homie was hard to understand sometimes. That accent may have been a little too thick.
Favorite parts were: when doors opened without anyone there, felt like classic Scooby Doo, and any shot using only the shadow of his hand, especially the giant one over the city, was genius.

Smartest thing they did is keep most of Hans Zimmer’s original score and one of the main vocalists from the animated film. That’s what elevates this story and still tugs on the ole heartstrings. That said, it switches back and forth from past and present in what feels like an attempt to shoehorn in Timon and Pumbaa. Rafiki slays past and present, and the main cast delivers a good performance.
