The Dark Crystal 1982
Another world, another time…
When I was a child, I watched this movie a lot. It might’ve influenced my tastes and made me more receptive to dark fantasy, but I think I turned out fine so I don’t care about the consequences.
This movie is great. Not only does it show the genius and mastery of Jim Henson and the creativity of Brian Froud, but it also tells a story of duality and oneness. It’s a cult classic for sure. He really put so much effort into being so unsettling that it almost made…

Filth 2013
This is a great example of a descent into madness. I love a downward spiral, and the way this portrays an unraveling man who just gets worse and worse in a way where you can have sympathy for him but still not forgive his actions in any way is peak. The story does not let Bruce get off without consequences but it does make him a character you enjoy watching. Also this movie is extremely Scottish, not that I’m complaining.…
