The movie was at its apex during the long take when the communist polish partisans are drinking in the tavern in the village, around the midway point in the movie I believe. The atmosphere was exquisite, so incredibly immersive and captivating and if the movie had the same mojo that it did in that few minute scene then perhaps this ranking would be better.
