Rang De Basanti 2006
All the while watching Rang De Basanti, I'd think to myself "Is someone in Hindi cinema making films like this or would make films like this nowadays, and even if they made it would the censors release it without major edits," and in both cases I couldn't confidently say yes.
It's a film, for all it's flaws, is one that continues to resonate with me, a film that continues to move me, a film that is still relevant!

Dune: Part Two 2024
Adds to the world-building of the first film and makes it even more grand, the visual spectacle left me awestruck, the storytelling was so good in that it raised the stakes, gave more depth to the characters, and was engaging all the way through despite the plot becoming more complex.
Director Denis Villeneuve has been killing it with these Dune films so far. I can't wait for Part 3!

Yeah, all the hype I heard about this film, I totally get it, it's no wonder this film made such waves at the Cannes Film Festival this year!
This is an absorbing, gentle, lyrical tale that is told with such sharpness, it's so so impressive. The way how director Payal Kapadia captures her three protagonists, the depth at which she goes, I almost felt like I was a fly in a wall in their lives. The film finds beauty in…
