The Shining 1980
A masterclass in the relation between cinematography and score, stainforth edits unsettle you in the best way. Above the acting and iconic Kubrick shots, It’s the score that always delivers and unnerves me like it did the first time I saw it as a small child.
Everytime I watch this film I’m upset I waited so long to rewatch. Visually stunning and performances that’ll leave you wanting to check into the overlook hotel for a weekend, I’m not sure there is a more perfect movie.
