It might be my own trauma taking the wheel here, but this movie honestly just didn’t sit right with me.

I can appreciate the soundtrack and the haunting, yet pretty scenes, but it was hard for me to connect in any way other than through suffering. Tough watch.

‘Consciousness is a terrible curse. I think. I feel. I suffer.’

This is a special movie! Saw it for the first time in theaters for a 25th anniversary screening. Bizarre. Hilarious. Thought-provoking. Such an enjoyable experience.

    Wait, that was Cameron Diaz?!

I swear I think she is a great actor in certain roles, but I don’t know if I’m sold on her as the lead of an early 2000’s-type rom-com (which is what they said they were going for).

Same goes for the male lead, although I don’t remember what else I’ve even seen him in, if anything.

Wow are they hot, though. Sorry. Boy brain.

It’s sweet enough, I guess, but far too many “really?” moments for it to really stick at all.

Are you kidding me? I’ve never been to the Louvre, but this film feels like walking through one artistic masterpiece at a time as you got shot by shot, scene by scene.

This is the first Tarkovsky I get to see, and I was left speechless at the visual storytelling. The bits of dialogue are great as well, poetic in a way that really stays with you.

The pacing also helped battle my undiagnosed ADHD as it really begs you…
