  Man. What. Shot really well and the sounds are great. I don’t know it just felt like it was missing something. Also probably not a good idea to watch near your birthday.

  This film is, at its heart, about unrequited love. Much of the film is focused on being subtle about the affair between Chow and Mrs. Chan’s partners. The reveal isn’t sudden but instead built up. The constant business trips, absences, everything’s an implication. The film’s main color is red and it’s especially prominent during the more intimate moments between the main two.
