The Truman Show 1998

The more you think about this as a discreet horror movie, the more you learn to appreciate it. I've always wondered if you skipped the title sequences and directly showed this to somebody who had never seen it before, how long would it take for them to catch on that something is amiss? There's so many ways to analyse this film and it's truly something I can say is 'art' when we talk about film. It's amazing.

I had to watch this for one of my Documentary Filmmaking seminars and I can see why others hold it in quite high regard for what it definitely did for defining such a genre early on.
