Ajay Devgn starred and directed this “inspired by true incident” movie about a hotshot commercial pilot who, in spite of numerous errors on his part and others, lands a plane in the middle of a cyclone with his eyes closed and saves the passengers. The first half is mainly the flight, with mediocre CGI, and the second half is AB blustering and bullying Devgn and his meek but very pretty co-pilot through the hearing. Rating 2/5.

Amitabh Bachan stars in this sappy movie as a grumpy father of ingrateful children who suddenly loses his wife. They try to follow Hindi rituals while carping at each other but somehow all come together in the end. Little to recommend it.

Amitabh Bachchan’s masterpiece with a dual role as the ultra suave criminal Don and his look-alike simpleton bumpkin Vijay with enough shading in the middle. Plot differs slightly from the 2010 remake with SRK but is still complex enough. Thrilling car chase, extraordinary fights that go on forever, and enough western touches from AB’s bell-bottom suits and polka dot vest to Zeenat Aman’s ass-kicking heroine.
