  one of those movies that depicts a previously functioning world beginning to crumble, but makes me wonder how this family managed to exist for 24 years and none of this came to light. 

  Was curious about the kids’ perception of their parents’ relationship and their mother’s abuse. Did they not reckognize it? Were they willfully ignoring it?
