  Jeffrey Wright is really great and should be in more lead roles, but he’s stuck with a tricky script that needed a better director to tonally balance and pace. The family drama and the publishing industry satire could work apart from one another, but they do not mesh well and seem like they come from different movies. There’s some good comedy throughout, but nothing I would call laugh-out-loud funny.

  No supporting character felt fully fleshed out, which I would assume…
