  An underrated gem which I really enjoyed. Michelle Pfeiffer is again great as always and even earned an Oscar nomination for the role. The story was tender and interesting, set during a dark time in America's history and Dennis Haysbert's performance with his on screen daughter is charming, the dysfunctional group dynamic was lovely to watch.

  One of my favourite films ever. The note perfect blend of Billy Wilder, Jack Lemmon and Shirley Maclaine is divine and it's a tender take on loneliness as well as a biting satire on corporate greed and ambition. Lemmon and Maclaine's chemistry is wonderful and Wilder's snappy script is perfect. The fact that Maclaine lost out on the Oscar pains me everytime I watch it.
