As a theater fan, the film had many amazing homage to the stage production and choreography while still feeling fresh and impactful (even if i have watched the original movie and stage production a hundred times).
It was a beautifully shot film and had a clear sense that those in the project had a love for the story and the craft.
It may not be a "perfect film" but it gave me that magical feeling of experiencing the story live, which is a major feat for a film.
