    Wenders returns to Japan for another ~ observation diary ~. This time, focusing on a public bathroom janitor and his perfectly dull days filled with not-worth-mentioning anecdotes.

    It's still mesmerizing to see Japan through Wenders' screen language – from portraying the eatery lantern from below, to those restrained Japanese men not being able to live without women, and to the Japanese metaphor of Komorebi quietly and poetically woven into the plot. Repeatedly playing Hirayama's repetitive routine at the beginning sequences…
