Bird Box: Barcelona decided to take a different approach by cultivating the film from the perspective of the ones who can see the paranormal "creatures" because they are supposedly clinically insane. In Bird Box 1 and 2, the "creatures" affect certain types of people, usually those with severe mental illness, differently from that of the majority of people. This film was really stunning. I loved the visuals and the action sequences (I expect nothing less from Marvel). I also found Rockets' story enticing, seeing who he was before the guardians, and watching him accept who he is now. This film teaches us the meaning of closure through facing what we feared when we were young and moving on as we grow older. At the end of the film, Rocket faces his abuser as he finds closure in himself.…
A Silent Voice showcases beautifully the act of forgiveness, not just to others, but to yourself as well. A Silent Voice broadens the idea of what makes a person, and how neither the past, and the things a person can or cannot do, define that person as a whole. Even so, the actions you take and how you choose to move forward when cast with struggles are what really create a person's identity. This movie is one of my favorites…
