I am an English teacher who spent six years working at a movie theater all through high school and college. Movies are awesome.

To me, the perfect scary movie. Bad guy with a flimsy motive, but who cares because he can't be killed and he is terrifying. The score really makes the movie. It's what every one should watch on Halloween. This or Hocus Pocus.

I enjoy the sequel, though obviously not of the quality of the first. Always good, but not quite great.

I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this film. Christoph Waltz is fantastic and Jamie Foxx is perfect as Django. The story is over the top and ridiculous, but who ever let that stop them from enjoying a movie?
The three acts are broken up nicely, even if the movie does run a bit long. The final death scenes are some of the best Tarantino has done and so wildly over-the-top you can't help but laugh at their absurdity (especially Tarantino's own death in the film). The movie is not for all audiences, but any Tarantino fan should completely and unabashedly embrace this film.

Highly enjoyable Wes Anderson film, but not my favorite of his (Rushmore will always hold that title). I will say that it was one of the most blatantly funny movies he has done. I never felt myself laughing out loud as much at this other films, which all seemed to be full of quiet puns and inside jokes. Ralph Fiennes was great as Gustave, but it was a tremendous role from Tony Revolori as Zero that made the film for me. He was funny and honest in his most prominent role to date and hope to see him in more things in the future.
