Late Night with the Devil 2023
A lot of fun. strong performances, visceral special effects reminiscent of 70s and 80s horror, and clever edits buoy a script that felt to me a bit unsure on where it wants to focus.
The film felt more thematically in conversation with tv and vhs video nasties than the cinema so I would be keen to rewatch this as part of a tv night rather than on the big screen.
If you liked this movie, it is also worth checking out Ghostwatch - a 1992 BBC horror mockumentary.
