A cool artistic horror about denying your true self and having the courage to admit that identity.

Really good cinematography and excellent use of low-budget effects to create a fully realised world.

You may not appreciate his ridiculous comedy or his bum on your cheese but he was ahead of his time.

P.S. Freddy Got Fingered is hilarious and original.

Best monster sex ever. Puts The Shape of Water to shame.

Robert Eggers is perfecting period horror with his incredible cinematography. It's a truly spectacular piece of art.

This is my favourite filmic sound production this year. The scratchy, squeaky foley, the regular wind, heavy breathing noise, and violin and organ score add depth to the on-screen madness.

Lily-Rose Depp saves the world with her chest, Bill Skarsgard eats up scenes, Nicolas Hoult contorts his face to brutal lengths and Willem Dafoe brings the crazy.
