FINALLY got to see this one, I've been waiting for a long time. And it was well worth the wait.
”The Favourite”, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, might be the most immersive period piece I think I’ve ever seen. Seriously. THAT FUCKING TWIST... oh my god.
My jaw was seriously on the floor when it happened, and the film just turned bat-shit crazy from there on out...
But on a more serious note though, it's really impressive how this movie was made with an extremely tight budget by a bunch of young, Danish film school graduates (this is director Gustav Möller’s debut film!). And only shot in a single room, and with only three cameras.
Damn, that is seriously inspirational...
