  Just want to point out how the whole film is about romanticism, except for the one shot where the girl on fire walked out sorrowfully yearning. Standing there in her green dress on the beach with a cinematographic backdrop resembling Der Wanderer über dem Nebelmeer. Reflecting the realism that dawned upon them, ending their shared enchanted dream.

  It was really an immersing story, you really wanted to see Bud succeed being a yuppie, get bigger deals, keep the girl... He already sold his soul anyway, even though he didn't know it yet when he first sniffed green or was it white in a little flask? ;)

  Too bad the ending wasn't satisfying, I'd rather have seen him go through all the way. Now it's an "American movie"; you gotta leave theaters with a happy feeling of course.

  Great visuals and entertaining, but felt a bit short.

  For some reason the first one had to be recapitulated a lot which made it (rightfully) look like there wasn't enough story to tell in the sequel. It's like the next one will have been better off packaged with this one.
