The voice acting and animation were perfect.
It was a bit of a miss for me overall. The story felt like a young kid movie, but the aesthetics and dialog felt more borderline PG13.
Too many characters didn't have time to develop and lacked conviction. I didn't feel like the climax ever really built up.
I hope there is a sequel, and I hope they do a better job of storytelling.

Despite Ryan Gosling getting an A+ and the great sets, this was a painful sit-through. It's likely in part to me not being the intended audience of the film.
I am not sure if the "Man Hating" theme was a failed attempt or an effort to poke fun. I mean in the end, given the choice to live in our current Patriarchy or a utopian Matriarchy run like Stepford Connecticut she chose the Patriarchy.

Super fun movie. Not QUITE as good as the other ones. I think the previews helped to make the film a touch predictable and underwhelming.
Would have loved to see a more dramatic end scene, perhaps unearthly screams from the three demons as they are violently pulled into the grinder?
A must see for the Evil Dead fan.
