  A very welcomed return to a movie that has always been overlooked, yet stands the test of time well. The effects aren't even as bad as I was preempting either having last watched The Abyss over 20 years ago. Still great stuff.

  Great performances and Intrigue keep this rather simple movie ticking over nicely. The pace is adequate too as there is little time to dwell or to rest between scenes. The conclusion felt rather dumb and forced but thankfully, it didnt detract from what came before.

  Gobsmacked at the level of trash on show here. I feel sorry for Margot and Ryan whom did their best but even their performances can't get out from under the piles and piles of shit shovelled in our faces.
  I miss what cinema used to be. There are still some real films being made thank goodness but there are so many perpetuating the same propaganda bullshit that is a stain on our society as a whole. This should be fun…

  There’s a lot of good stuff here. Great sound editing and high quality visuals. It also boasts a super charged opening sequence which is manic in the extreme. The acting too is decent from a bunch of mostly unknowns... but for all it’s good, it amounts to precious little. The problem for me is that it flatters to deceive. Overlord fails to be more than another generic story of discover and destroy. Okay, it’s Nazi Germany so war is on…
