  even if you know a lot about the basics of this case (i know a little bit, my wife barely knew any) this adaptation is presented in a way that has such a loose grasp on coherence that it's easy to get mixed up. i feel like this would've worked better as a mini series which first explores the manson family murders, then goes deeper into mkultra and cointelpro, then seeks to find the connections. this all felt a bit too speedy and slapped together to feel fully accessible and understandable.

  i know i'm 10 years late to this but i just watched this for the first time and now i understand all the hype around it. i shall be watching this every autumn from now on until my brain turns into potatoes and molasses
