Whammy, please let me know how you got Ricky Davao, who by my opinion the greatest actor ever, to do “that”. Cheers.
Me, at 10 pm: I love cinema
12 AM: Tangina bukas na lang ang kalahati (Shit, I'll just do the other half tomorrow)
2:30 AM: FUUUUCCCCK. Tangina naman Lav
...
8 AM: Lav Diaz is one of the greatest Filipino Directors of all time. His slow, daunting and structural approach to his films can only be either valued or destroyed, in which he incorporates social commentary about the issues in the Philippines. Time creeps upon its characters, deliberately hemorrhaging the conscience. Slow cinema movement lives!
I'd copy this review on another Lav Diaz film if I wanted to.
(From my twitter: PHANTOM THREAD: If you haven't seen a P.T. Anderson film, you don't know what you're up against. If you forget that you're watching a P.T. Anderson film, you'll end up looking like a fool...)
P.T. Anderson is a geeeennnnnniiiiuuuuus. I love how elegant yet meticulous the storytelling is in this piece. it's fucked in many ways, but I guess that's just love.
Sad to say that there has been some awards snub here and there, but I personally hold this film highly above all the Best Picture picks this Oscar season.
