  For all its criticism of stories that simplify and cheapen the Black experience, this does that with homosexuality and Cliff’s character. Being gay is about more than fucking twinks and drug abuse. And there’s never really any resolution or healing for Cliff… He’s probably better off than he started by the end of the movie, but how? What healing happened to bridge the traumatized Cliff to… wherever he ended? 

  This won a BAFTA??
  Issa Rae was amazing though. She is one of our greatest actresses.

  You know folks, I gotta talk about this guy, Adam Driver. You know who I’m talking about. They say he’s a big star, right? Well, I’ve seen him in Megalopolis, his new movie. What a disaster! Francis Ford Coppola—used to make great movies, really great, but now? Not so much. This one got a standing ovation at Cannes—of course, it did. Those Hollywood elites, they’ll clap for anything. But the reviews? Terrible, folks. Just terrible.
