The Last Shaman 2017
Insightful and beautiful documentary about a lost soul named James who finds his last resort in ayahuasca and becomes one with the wonderful natives in the Amazon. The rituals are very well captured and James really takes you with him on his spiritual journey..

Hunt for the Wilderpeople 2016
"I didn't choose the skuxx life, the skuxx life chose me" LOL
A wonderful movie with some elements of The Kings of Summer (2013), Captain Fantastic (2016) and Wes Anderson, all within an authentic New Zealandish cultural setting. The script is great, with very clever and dry humour to masquerade the sadness in Ricky's life, the actors were brilliant and the cinematography is simply fantastic, capturing some very "majestical" landscapes. Next travel? New Zealand!!
Definitely one of my top favourite movies of this year! 4.5/5

The Man from Earth 2007
The beauty of this movie is definitely in its simplicity. Don't expect spectacular cinematography with special effects, there is only an amazing script that provokes some difficult but interesting existential questions, supported by nice acting. The opening of the movie might feel a bit slow and unpromising, but if you like the intellectual and mysterious sci-fi genre, then you should just hang on. Gradually this story builds up to a hypnotic intensity that keeps you from watching anything else than your television screen.

Primer 2004
It's quite confronting to realize that I am not smarter than the rest. It took me two times of replaying this movie with a special handguide from internet before I completely understood the time traveling aspect. Now I wish I could travel back in time to save myself from wasting all those minutes.
