    The Social Dilemma

    ★★★★

This outstanding documentary opens up Facebook for what it has become. Started with good intentions, now driven by quarterly reports to increasingly make us the product.

Social Dilemma is not perfect. There are several "dramatizations" (family dinner, etc.) that are used to make the directors points, however they are jarring within the main thrust of the film.

This rewatch was the tipping point, alongside a few podcasts, to make me leave the platform.

The film itself is talking heads of mainly ex social network execs and industry experts. If you're interested to explore further try checking out the workds of Tristan Harris and Jaron Lanier.

    ★★

This is not great Eastwood and reminds me of some of the poorer films from the 80's and 90's when he was involved in lightweight froth or feeble genre movies. the Rookie comes to mind.

Now throw in a terrible piece of casting and last script development that undermines Clint's relationship with boy he's trying to help.

The whole project seems ill focused and with little purpose. I'm wondering what drew Clint to it? Surely not the money.

Italian zombie movie, low on everything. Budget, acting talent, script, effects, scares....

    Don't waste you time.

    ★★

Slow predictable horror from the 1980's. There's absolutely nothing to commend this movie unless you're a completist.

The pacing of the movie is a major problem and it might have fared better at a trim 80-85 minutes. Characterization is very weak and their arcs are entirely predictable.

I've been very active on Letterbox'd for the past few months and am always intrigued at how many people watch films that have a consensus of garbage and rate them very highly. In the whole pantheon of horror movies, tif this rates **** then the viewer clearly needs to see some decent movies to gain perspective.
