  Copped tickets to the world premiere at Berlinale for this on a whim and, with 0 expectations, had a blast.

  Ridiculous and choppy flow that loses focus at (a lot of) times but was yet astounded by the pure humanity of this film. Like a half-fictional documentary-drama-comedy-musical mashup that only works because of the unpretentious nature of Botta’s vision.

  Before watching this film I had a 5-star review ready in my mind somewhere along the lines of “Eggers you sick cunt you did it again”, because the moment I knew he was next on the lineup of Dracula adaptions I knew we’d be in for an absolute sensation. So it’s a bit of a shame not to be writing that.

  The problem with telling a story as infamous, familiar and overcooked as this is that it’s really fucking hard. So…
