A lot of people really thought this was supposed to be a movie about the 2024 election or about Trump specifically and I do think the marketing hurt more that it helped with this. A lot of negative reviews seem to be from the fact this isn’t a realistic version of an American civil war, but then don’t want to engage with what’s actually the point if it’s not about those previously mentioned politics. What I got from this movie…
