Really nice visual quality and sound and standout excellent sets, really strong universe. An earnest meditation on family and movement and where you came from. Some of the more whimsical moments didn't land for me but there were jokes that made me laugh. It was good to hear a song about winnepeg.

There were moments that were touching but really felt like it was made for the stage and it showed. I'm not sure why this needed to be a motion picture. The understated parts were the shining moments though there could have been more of that.

We missed the first 5 minutes I hate to say. This one struck the right chords. Really enjoyed the sound and cinematography and it was worth seeing on the big screen. A thoughtful meander through the big questions on a peaceful friday night.

The writing was really weird for me and i struggled to understand any character's motivations. So much screentime yet hardly anything seemingly communicated or resolved in any way between people on the screen. The outlines were good. another draft of the screenplay could have made this movie so much better. But i guess art making doesn't have to be philosophical at the end of the day and i can take that as it is. The cinematography was really nice and i wasn't compelled to exit the theater even after 4 hours so i guess that's testament enough.
