This is the most quintessential 21st century movie I’ve seen in some time. Songs from TikTok, self-driving cars, AI in the form of humanoid bots.
The movie poses an intriguing angle for both how we use/rely on modern tech, but also how they are integrated into our daily lives.
The movie also portrays the ongoing issue of DV in an interesting way also. Even though the bots in this movie are “controlled”, the central bond between Iris and Josh reflects the tone of an abusive relationship, where one claims to “own” the other.
Very fresh perspective, would recommend
