actually a decent watch, even with the weird CGI monstrosities there's still great fantasy vibes, romance and some suprisingly good original songs such as 'Princess Problems' that make up for that.
However, I'm not sure why Disney continue to have their heroines be nearly skeletal in comparison to all of the other characters in their films! They know little kids will make up a huge majority of the main audience, right???

Turns out this movie really lives up to the 'men bad' idea I heard floating around about the film and executes it perfectly. The men are bad. Very bad.... and that's not a good thing. Captivating throughout, but part of me wondered when all the killing would start. The trailer gives away the key plot point of Freda's friend going missing, though. Good film.

so glad I watched this on an absolute whim at Phoenix because what a banger of a crime story this is. wonderful score, acting, cinematography? chef's kiss.
I didn't even mind it was a foreign film because the plot was very engaging and I cared about the characters
