I dont know of another A24’s production that made me feel a handful of feelings while watching. But this particular storyline put me in a whirlwind of emotions. Its unrelenting tension was brilliantly executed from start to finish. It’s hard to believe it was a directorial debut because of its masterful manipulation.
One minute you love the character and the next you wanna slap them.
I fell in love with the cinematography, the music, and the camera angles that…
Ozgood Perkins delivers a riproaring thriller with an intricate twist on Stephen King’s short story of the same name. trust me it’s to die for.
Ridley Scott soars again bringing us, the film lovers a masterpiece of epic proportions. Once more, he teams up with Joaquin Phoenix who delivers an oscar winning performance. We are drawn into the depths of his victories and flaws, making us love him and hate him. The cinematographer wraps around Ridley Scott’s vision and signature that we’ve come to know and love.
A masterclass in cinematography.
It’s as much as a love letter to Ridley Scott’s original film, as it is to horror fans. Brilliantly shot, I mean truly some of the best visuals in a sci-fi. You can tell some of Scott’s influence is still very much in the detail of the creatures as he gives the reins of director to someone who already helmed a soft reboot to another franchise. You loved Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) but I think you’ll fall in love with Rain (Cailee Spaeny) as well. In space no one can hear you scream, but the auditorium will.
