The writing could have been more refined but I did appreciate the creative direction it tried to push (as polarizing the responses were).
The performances by the leading ladies carried the film, particularly Kathryn Bernardo's portrayal of Philo. It was a testament to the range that she holds as an actress. While Dolly de Leon's Molly was entertaining and compelling (as expected), the character could have been written better. But even so, these women were the heart of the film all throughout.
Although flimsy, I would still consider this to be a step at the right direction for Philippine cinema.
