  Frustrating.

  Maybe if I hadn’t seen a horror (or specifically The Ring or It Follows) I would have got more from this.

  But, by not choosing to be one thing or the other - a straight up demon or the main character’s mind (because of guilt?) - it didn’t work for me.

  There’s a great ‘killer’ on the loose, whatever its origin, and yet we see maybe four people smile, and most of the scares are fake/imagined.

  It’s muddled and I didn’t love it.
