  What a surreal, bizarre, odd, dreamlike romantic drama comedy this is. I'm not a big Paul Thomas Anderson fan and haven't seen everything he's made (Boogie Nights is the exception as one of my favourite films), but this was really, really good.

  Totally opposite of what might be expected from an Adam Sandler movie but he was excellent. I wanted to see this on release but I'm glad I waited until I was more mature (ha, right!). Brilliant film, maybe not one to watch over and over but great none the less.

  Pros: Atmosphere up the wazoo, excellent performances all around.

  Cons: Not entirely sure about the very end though, it felt like it kind of stopped rather than finished.

  Overall: Well worth a watch.
