Two of the worst cases of adultery ever shown and not shown on screen

I am sure a lot has been said already regarding the atmosphere and tone of this beautiful, brooding film by Ari Aster, but nothing quite as outrageous as the man himself when he describes this as a perverse fairy tale or something similar to a big breakup opera.

Unlike Hereditary, Midsommar is more or so grounded in its plot. Yet there is lots to unpack about the characters involved and some questions still remain even after the credits start rolling.

Aster working on this story right after a breakup is the biggest kink I have seen, if ever.
