Being a big fan of David Cronenberg, Robert Pattinson, and I like pretty much all the cast members in this film, all I can say after watching this is: what the hell was that?
The best way I could describe it is, that it's the type of movie that is on for 2 minutes in a dream sequence in another film.
The movie was good, the blend of genres was interesting yet it didn't really stick the landing with humour or drama. Léa Seydoux was incredible as always, props to the wardrobe department because it's the best & most stylish contemporary outfits I've seen in anything in a long time, the movie virtually doubled as a 2 hour fashion show.
Beautifully shot, gripping throughout, Morfydd Clark gave probably my favourite performance of the year, glad I was able to watch it on the big screen, excited for what's next to come from Rose Glass.
My first post-Lockdown cinema trip, the movie itself was intense, brutal and a whole lot of fun.
