First of all, pick a volume level. The range of my volume setting during this movie ranged from 1 to 37 which is substantial. Ok, now that that’s out of the way I’ll give as condensed review as I possibly can give for this movie. As much as it pains me to admit, there was a lot I did not understand in this movie. Honestly, pretty surprising to me that the average rating for this movie is as low as it is. I thought it was a pretty solid film. I really loved the casting and dialogue (I’m a big Andrew Garfield and Tom Cruise fan). However, I will note, the military scenes, especially those on the mountain top, and practically every scene with Derek Luke really brought this movie down. The mountain top directing, writing, and set were all very sub par and somewhat disappointing. I am assuming most of the production budget was spent on casting, which is understandable for a movie like this.

Not a bad movie, except for the completely unnecessary subplot of the trans kid which was obviously added to please the woke army.

You could probably write an entire book in an attempt to analyze all of the symbolism in this film. However, maybe take after Jof and Mia, and avoid over complication.
