    "Three Strangers. One Mysterious Connection."

This was SMALL, SIMPLE and genuinely SURPRISING.

I was throughly impressed with Heller's "Dark Was The Night". It felt like a refreshing throwback to creature features that prioritize atmosphere and dread over generic action and cheap thrills. I really appreciated how Heller slowly built up the level of dread until the inevitable climax. That movie left me wanting more from this director so at was pure luck that he had made only one other film…

    "Evil's Roots Run Deep"

This was DARK, DREARY and DISQUIETING.

My whole motivation for watching this was due to the fact that I'm tearing the final season of "The Strain" and Durand is a main player in that show. "Write For Your Life"

This was CREEPY and CREATIVE in equal measure.

Truth be told, I didn't know this film existed until it's trailer dropped a few weeks ago. Even then, I still was pretty indecisive on watching it overall. There were a few aspects that finally convinced me though. The fact that this is produced by Sam Raimi is a MAJOR plus right off the bat. I also was pleasantly surprised seeing Fegley as the lead after being a…

"Forever Is Harder Than It Looks"

This was both FIERCE and FASCINATING in equal measure.

The minute I saw the first trailer for this, I was immediately excited. Any chance to see Theron in a action oriented role is a complete and utter delight. Films like "Atomic Blonde" and "Mad Max: Fury Road" are excellent examples of this. The fact that this was based on a acclaimed graphic novel was just another reason to watch it. Granted, "The Last Days…
