This was SMALL, SIMPLE and genuinely SURPRISING.
I was throughly impressed with Heller's "Dark Was The Night". It felt like a refreshing throwback to creature features that prioritize atmosphere and dread over generic action and cheap thrills. I really appreciated how Heller slowly built up the level of dread until the inevitable climax. That movie left me wanting more from this director so at was pure luck that he had made only one other film…
