SPACE VAG. Need I say more?
Ok, I really liked it. It’s freaky, suspenseful, and thrilling—all attributes of the original Alien film. The franchise is definitely boosted with this rendition, pulling on all of the best aspects of the previous 7. What is introduced is the concept of the “human” alien, literally born out of a bad decision to mix alien and human DNA. Freaky!!! But a great jump scare and use of practical effects.

This nearly three-hour cinematic orgy is overflowing with the talent and nuance of Willem Dafoe, Emma Stone, Margaret Qualley, Jesse Plemons, and Hong Chau.
Whether or not the film was kind, is dubious. What is clear is Yorgos Lanthimos’ deep understanding of color and a diminished chord. At the core of this film is a deep-seeded love for making an audience uncomfortable and satisfied simultaneously.

Everything that Wes Anderson does, but with elegance. Revelatory of the deep seated family values of Persian culture in Canada as well as quirky Winnipeg characters.
DP Isabel Stakachencko clearly understands the concept of symmetry, creating calm, and this film is nothing but tranquil and a meditation on the importance of kindness, the universal language.
