Was absolutely sure that A24 had a plant in the movie theater after an argument broke out in the beginning of the movie (thankfully it was only about talking during a movie), because it made the experience watching this even more real than I was already anticipating.

I don’t really go out of my way often to watch horror movies, but this kept me engaged the entire time.

I think the fact that I had to check my hotel bathroom/closet/under my bed when I got home from the theater is evidence that this movie is successful at the emotions it tries to elicit

Going into this I look at Walk the Line as the standard bearer for a great music biopic, and while A complete unknown is only set during a four year period, similar themes of how the artist juggled overnight stardom and romantic relationships were the focal point in this movie.
Chalamet gave a good performance and I enjoyed of the pacing of the movie got more frantic as Dylan’s life and music career picked up steam.
I’ve also never been a Bob Dylan fan but the music was like really great throughout the whole movie and tied into the story well too
